Open call to design a label for Something’s Brewing BIER

Requirements: Design to be formatted into the shape as shown in photo. The “label” is a slipcover, machine sewn, fitting over the top of a standard 12oz. beer bottle. Email or write for a “pattern”.

Medium: Open

Special Notice for Academics & Writers: Contribute a textual design for “fabric” and we’ll make the slipcover for you. Possible themes: beer & popular culture, consumerism, the commercialization of art/culture/everyday life… anything you like or don’t like about beer and beer brewers (Contact Judith at the email address below if you wish to discuss your contribution)

All designs will be included in a final presentation/ exhibition in December 2007 at the Lakenhal Museum in Leiden, Netherlands.

Select designs will be reproduced and put into action in the Something’s Brewing public events to be held April through June 2007 throughout the Netherlands. Please include a web link and a one to two sentence bio with your submission.
